OEM vs. Aftermarket: What’s the Difference?

When it comes to replacing parts for your vehicle, two main options typically come up: OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and aftermarket parts.. 

OEM parts are made by the same company that manufactured your vehicle. These parts are identical to the components originally installed in your car when it rolled off the assembly line. Since OEM parts are designed specifically for your make and model, they ensure a perfect fit and are often backed by a manufacturer’s warranty. 

Aftermarket parts are produced by third-party companies that are not affiliated with the vehicle manufacturer. Known as non-original equipment manufactured (non-OEM) parts, are generic parts that can be used to replace damaged parts in a vehicle. These parts are designed to fit multiple makes and models, which often makes them more affordable and widely available. The quality of aftermarket parts can vary significantly, so it’s important to choose reputable brands. 

We use Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts whenever available. If an OEM part is discontinued or no longer produced, we work with the best alternative to ensure proper fit, performance, and reliability.
