Buffing is a polishing process where a machine (or by hand) is used to smooth out imperfections in the car's clear coat or paint layer.
Not all imperfections can be buffed off your car. Some of the common types that can be addressed with the buffing process are surface scratches, swirl marks, oxidation and water spots.
Some imperfections can't be easily removed by buffing, such as: deep scratches or gouges, paint chips, rust or faded paint.
When faced with the imperfections that can’t be easily removed, it may be time for a repaint or a more ed restoration.
